A healthy alternative to our regular dosa and something even your kids would love to take oats in this form instead of the regular porridge. Also this dosa comes handy when you run out of regular dosa batter and at times when you need to prepare tiffin in a jiffy.
This instant dosa also makes a quick and a healthy lunch box for your kids or a quick healthy snack after school:-) Serve with any chutney of your choice.
1 cup Instant Oats
1/4 cup Sooji
1/4 cup to 1/2 cup Rice Flour
1/2 cup butter milk or 1/4 cup curd
2 to 3 green chillies cut into fine pieces
Salt as required.
Few coriander leaves
Mix all the ingredients together add required salt and water to make into a running dosa batter consistency and not too thick.
Heat tawa till hot and spread a ladle full of batter and swirl the tawa to spread the batter thin. Add the chopped coriander leaves on top of the spread batter and you may close it with a lid till cooked or leave it open till cooked. Turn around and remove from tawa, once cooked completely.
You may add chopped onions or capcisum or carrot to the batter.
For flavor, you may add some roasted cumin seeds to the batter though optional.
You can add also some chopped onions, green chillies and ginger julienes to make a crunchy and a spicy Oats Dosa and you can also add your choices of cut veggies like carrot or capsicum mixed or spread on top of the dosa batter.
